Does what it's supposed to do, poorly March 13, 2010 Martin Bate (Washington, DC) Honestly this is one of the worst pieces of hardware I've ever used. While it does enable your Xbox 360 to connect to a wireless network, it does a terrible job of it. The transmit strength of it is nowhere near what you'd find on a laptop or desktop computer, meaning that while your laptop might get a good signal where your 360 is, the Xbox probably won't get as good a signal. Case in point: I can download movies incredibly quickly on my laptop from my entertainment room, while my 360 often struggles to even connect to the network.
Only get this if you have to. If you can, use ethernet instead.
Does what it is supposed to do March 10, 2010 Smokezilla (Kentucky) Purchased this item used. . . Item was in near-new condition when received. This is the 2nd of this item that I own as I bought a second XBox to use in another room from the original. Both wireless network adapters work very well with my Linksys router. The XBox automatically detected my router, I input my security password, and that was all it took. Buying this item used saved me about $35. . . I've never had any trouble out of any of the used XBox equipment that I've purchased through Amazon including 2 120-gig harddrives. Don't hand over your money to Microsoft just to own a brand-new device when a used one works just as well!
Works Just Great March 9, 2010 Warren Jarrell Ransom (Memphis, TN USA) I bought this last Nov (2009) and it works great for online play. I play alot of MW2 and Halo. I havent used it for streaming videos, but i can play the music stored on my laptop directly to the 360. If you dont wanna spend the cash for the wireless N, this one will work just as fine.
I love this little device March 3, 2010 J. Eckardt (Sacramento, California United States) I got this as the second part of my birthday gift from my grandfather. It works just fine. Most of the connection drops I have experienced have been because of server lag or over load not because the adapter isn't doing it's job. I think it is worth the money for the ease of just pulling it in especially if you don't know anything about networking or computers.
Overpriced but worth it February 20, 2010 Kevin T. Soldner (Albany, NY) Got tired of plugging and unplugging the Ethernet cable to my Xbox 360. Router could not be moved so I shopped around and settled on this. There are ways around using this exact device, but this is the smallest and easiest way. Plugged it in and it was online in a matter of seconds. I get no lag in game-play with it.
