Great Deal for Xbox 360 Arcade! July 29, 2010 PBnJPLZ This is a fantastic deal!
I have an Xbox 360 Arcade and wanted to have some storage space, so this was perfect for me. As other reviews have said, there are some demos, games, videos, etc. on the hard drive, but they are easily erased. Setting it up is a breeze, and it works perfectly so far.
This plus the headset and three months of Xbox Live Gold Membership make this a great deal for any Arcade users out there.
Good Refurb Buy June 10, 2010 Gerry B. (Los Angeles, CA) It's a refurbished product but looked new. Easy to install. Works perfectly. What a deal.
Just as advertised. May 25, 2010 Jason Griffin This is everything amazon says it is. My hard drive is still working hard as I play almost every day, three months gold membership is awesome and the headset works great. I recommend this package to anyone with an XBOX360 Arcade unit that wants to upgrade to play online. If you are looking to upgrade believe me when I tell you there is no better deal out there.
Awesome! May 4, 2010 Leon White (Scottsbluff, NE) I purchased this son. he has had an XBOX360 since Christmas, but we got him the Arcade Model. This had everything needed to start on XBOX Live. The network cable seemed a bit short but we also bought the wireless adapter. The hard drive had a little over half of the space remaining but there is some stuff preloaded, which can be removed if wanted. Setup was a breeze, he has been having a blast on the multi-player games.
It's a lot of money for a little bit of storage April 25, 2010 Gail L. Burt (Los Angeles) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have an X-Box 360 for one reason: my wife did orchestrations for a video game and it was only available for X-Box 360. I have a PS3 and a Wii, and overall, I prefer both of them to the X-Box. I purchased the cheapest one I could find: X-Box 360 Arcade version, which has no hard drive built in. I played with it until the internal space was full and I couldn't save my game any more (which made me bitter - there was no warning that I was close to capacity). I broke down and purchased this because even though X-Box 360 is SUPPOSED to accept USB drives, it would not recognize any I had on hand, thus forcing me to replay about an hour's worth of my game.
The fact that Microsoft advertises the 360 as accepting USB drives but really only accepts its own proprietary drives really does suck. So I bought a 20G hard drive for this thing, and it cost me $60. I can go to Costco and buy a 1TB drive for $149. But X-Box won't recognize any but its own.
It comes with a headset in this little kit. I got that so that just in case I ever got the urge, I could use it to chat with people. I don't play online, I don't plan to. But it seemed dumb to order a hard drive alone for the same price as the one that came with the headset. So I got the headset - BFD.
However, installation of the drive couldn't be easier, it just pops onto the top of the console and clicks into place, no muss, no fuss. Haven't tried the headset, don't know if or when I ever will.
