DO NOT BUY THIS! This WILL NOT work like the Microsoft Hard Drive Transfer Kit. I wish I would've taken the time to read the other reviews before I bought this piece of crap. My advise: spend the few extra bucks and get Microsoft cable.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK!!! it does NOT work. PERIOD. You must use genuine Microsoft cable for data xfer to work. I bought this and learned the hard way. Wasted purchase.

Says transfer kit on the product page. Product I received was just the transfer cable (no transfer disc or instructions). Product on page is from Microsoft. The product I received was from a third party manufacturer. Don't waste your time ordering from here, go straight to Microsoft!
Buy a USB Flash Drive Instead! June 22, 2010

As others have already stated... This product IS NOT the same as the MS branded HD transfer kit.
Save your money and buy a USB flash drive instead. You can transfer up to 16 GB of data at a time using a flash drive so equipped, so although you possibly won't be able to move everything over in one go, you can transfer all your files over in stages. That is what I did.

I ordered the Xbox 360 Hard Drive for my son. After much trouble of getting it to finally work, we started noticing a couple of problems with the computer. Then his Xbox and the computer quit connecting to the internet. We finally got the problem fixed but not without completely losing all of his stuff on his hard drive. Games, Music, pictures, his profile. Everything is gone. None of this happened until we bought this Hard Drive Transfer Kit.
